The UICC Technical Fellowships offer cancer professionals the chance to participate in short learning visits ranging from two weeks to two months. These visits are aimed at fostering the exchange of knowledge and expertise in cancer control.

๐ŸŽ Benefits of the Fellowship

  • Fellowship award amounts are calculated based on the duration of the fellowship and published scales for:
    • Living costs in the host country.
    • Economy flight estimates from the home to host countries.
  • Fellowship visits can last from two weeks to two months.

โœ… Eligibility Criteria

The fellowship is open to a wide range of professionals working in cancer control, including:

  • Public health professionals (e.g., epidemiologists, health educators, social workers, nutritionists, administrators).
  • Cancer researchers performing translational, clinical, or implementation research.
  • Clinicians, nurses, and pathologists.

Specific Requirements:

  • Applicants must hold a minimum of a Masterโ€™s degree.
    • Medical doctors without a higher degree may be considered if they hold or are within a year of holding a board certification (or equivalent) in a cancer-related specialty.
    • Registered nurses with an RN qualification are also eligible.
  • An equivalent one-year training qualification in a cancer-related specialty post-university degree (e.g., training as a cancer registrar) can be accepted as equivalent to a Masterโ€™s degree.
  • Candidates must have worked in the field of cancer for at least five years prior to applying.
  • Medical and PhD students are not eligible to apply.
